Dear Colleagues and Friends

We are happy and honored to organize and host the 22nd Annual Meeting of the European Society for Computing and Technology in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care (ESCTAIC) at the university hospital in Erlangen, Germany between the 12th and 15th of October 2011.

This year's conference is under the motto "From Vision to Product"

THE CONFERENCE PROGRAM IS NOW ONLINE

The meeting is jointly organized by the Department for Anaesthesiology (Prof. Dr. Dr. Schüttler) and the Department of Medical Informatics (Prof. Dr. Prokosch)

The initiative of ESCTAIC dates back to 1989 when a small group of technology and computing enthusiasts decided to organize a first exchange forum for clinical anaesthesiology and technical disciplines, electronics, engineering and ergonomics.

Over the years ESCTAIC proved to be very productive. Since then 21 successful meetings have been held all over Europe attracting participants from all over the world - not only from America and Australia, but also from Asia and the Middle East.

Our last meeting in Amsterdam showed one again, that the concept of ESCTAIC to provide an informal atmosphere for technicians and doctors to meet and exchange bleeding edge research, practical experiences and visions continues to generate enthusiasm.

We are looking forward to welcome you in Erlangen in October 2011 and invite you to participate.
